Do you have got a cupcake holder left over out of your final birthday party? If so, seize it and a few vintage Christmas embellishes and turn them into a fanciful Christmas tree with a purpose to upload a bit sparkle on your vacation decor!
Each year I try and come up with a brand new tree to feature to my decor (see a couple of them here and right here…) and this year I used a cupcake holder I found at the Dump Reuse centre this summer season!
Turning your cupcake holder right into a tree couldn’t be less difficult. Grab some green paint (I used Fusion Mineral Paint in Bayberry) and paint it. To supply your tree a bit texture, dab at the paint and allow it try with little drips and peaks. This will supply it a rougher, extra dimensional look.
To make some embellishes for your tree, take some vintage Christmas balls which you do not need anymore and deliver them a pair coats of paint.
I used these old blue ones and gave them coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old Ochre.
While the paint remains wet, sprinkle your balls with antique colored gold glitter. The glitter sticks properly on the wet paint and stays in place once the paint dries.
Add a tie to each ornament using a first-class hemp wire. Once the embellishes are equipped, you may hang them from your painted cupcake holder.
To end off the darling little tree, I brought a vintage angel to the top tier that I had found at an property sale this summer time. She turned into the proper little adornment to stand on top of the tree.
GAMBAR6 I really love this whimsical tree and it seems so quite at night time with the twinkle lighting hitting the glitter. I am so glad I determined a brand new use for this discarded cupcake holder!
