Repurposed Rainbow Gallery Wall

Every time I visit a charity/thrift save constantly inside the corner somewhere is a pile of antique picture frames. Often they incorporate snap shots of vintage puppies or embroidery samples. Mostly, even though these frames are pretty unsightly and dated. Well closing time I visited my neighborhood junk shop I managed to pick up a pile of the frames for nearly nothing. It cost me approximately £2 ($three) for dozen frames. I desired to use the frames to create a suitable gallery wall of these exquisite colourful vintage fowl prints (see here).

These are some of the frames I got.

I collected the mishmash of vintage paints and paint samples I had lying in my shed. Chalky paints are pleasant for this if you have them as you do not need to prime the frames first.

Next, I removed the images and glass from every framed and painted them in an array of colours.

Once the paint had dried I measured the width and top of each body.

I then printed a chook photo (hyperlink at stop) to fit every frame. Not most effective did I match the bird to each frame I tried to fit the colors too. So for a purple body I published a chicken with pink in it and so forth.

I published the chook prints onto ivory coloured paper for a extra vintage appearance.

Once all the frames were filled. I lay them out at the floor to peer how they looked.

I had a massive antique photograph frame which I painted white. I decided to create my gallery wall on this frame so that it changed into easy to move round when I wanted to exchange wall presentations.

If you don’t have a large frame you could just dangle the pics directly onto the wall.

I simply used double sided mounting tape to grasp the frames.

I love this so much I’m on the hunt for more frames to make one using these splendid free vintage flower illustrations (see right here).
