I had a massive stack of CD’s or compact discs sitting in a drawer simply taking up space. Not looking to toss them out I got here up with a amazing recycle concept. I made a wreath the usage of the compact discs! The wreath is fun and specific and so easy to make.
We don’t download tune or photos onto compact discs anymore so this stack of CD’s have been simply going to waste. I hated to ship them to the landfill. Recycling items is continually the satisfactory concept.
The CD’s are strong white on one side and the other side is bright silver almost like aluminum.
I thought the white aspect of the CD’s might make a quite wreath. I laid them out in a circle. I didn’t measure or try and get the circle precisely uniform.
Next step is to adhere the CD’s to every different. I used a glue gun and implemented a small amount of hot glue among each CD.
To insure the glue sealed the CD’s together I carried out stress to the glued location till the hot glue dried.
After gluing the entire circle I held it up to see if everything changed into going to live in vicinity…..And it did.
Now I needed to make a bow for the wreath. Since I have a black and white buffalo test plaid addiction I had the proper ribbon available.
I first made a small bow and it failed to deliver enough umph to the circle of CD’s.
I made a bigger bow and it nonetheless did not work for me. I observed a stem of pearly searching berries in my Christmas redecorating stash and brought it to the bow.
The berry stem become an appropriate finish for the bow. I hot glued the bow to the CD wreath and that was it.
The upcycled CD’s look high-quality as a wreath.
I can use this wreath all winter then exchange out the bow with the seasons.
0 The white wreath may be used in opposition to any backdrop.
