This time of yr we are bombarded with commercialism and advertisements – it’s time to take a step returned, to use hat I must hand to create my personal handmade Christmas decorations.
These baubles are made from fabric scraps, combined with a massive pompom maker. To make these huge baubles from cloth acquire a spread of material scraps collectively and cut into strips about 1/2" huge.
As you may see I actually have chosen to paintings with a number sorts of fabric to add texture to the finished large pompom – from vibrant chiffons, to silk, to cotton cloth.
Wrap the material around the pompom maker – I actually have used a pompom maker length extra huge from clover. This is a lot faster and simpler than when I was a toddler using a circle of cardboard!
Once you have crammed each aspects of the pompom maker tightly fold it collectively and snip along the rims of material. You will want very sharp scissors.
Tie collectively very tightly with string, before adding a striking loop.
Who doesn’t love a pompom?? They could have so many uses for the Christmas season – create a recycled pompom garland to hold throughout the mantlepiece or use them as baubles in your tree.
