Fall Inspired Birch Trees Canvas Art

Autumnal tones of honey gold, bronzy russet and pumpkin spice are certainly one of nature’s maximum ideal color harmonies.

I was currently stimulated by some wall décor I noticed on-line, so I determined to make my own versions to use for fall. This educational is certainly one of two canvases I created. See the alternative one right here.

I already had all the paint and glitter, so my simplest price for those projects was for the canvases.

MATERIALS
Stretch canvas in length of desire (mine changed into 12" x 12")
Paint

HOW-TO
Background. For the canvas with the birch tree scene depicted in my suggestion artwork, I first painted the historical past with a Valspar shade sample of a light grey with a tinge of green in it the use of a 1" brush.

Next I delivered in some random blobs of off-white acrylic paint with a 1/4" brush to give the heritage some hobby.

On the lowest 1/3(ish) of the canvas, I layered some off-white, tan and brown to create the ground place. I also delivered some dabs of off-white at the top component in which the “leaves” might be falling.
I spritzed a few water over the canvas to blend the colours with a fan brush, after which gently brushed it vertically throughout the surface to soften them even greater. The idea turned into to get the colors inside the right place without having a difficult line among them.

The subsequent step turned into including in some of the greater reflective colors on the lowest, which I did by means of randomly adding tender touches of General Finishes Pearl Effects (Burnished, Bronze and Tawny) with a fan brush. You could also use any sort of acrylic craft paint, ideally some thing metallic to get the effect proven here.
Trees. To add in the tree bases, I used a few off-white and swiped various sized traces vertically, starting the narrower ones better up from the bottom as if they were further faraway from the viewer.
I brought a touch bit of General Finishes Extender to a few Bronze Pearl Effects, then used a scroller brush to create the limbs and darker bark areas.
Leaves. Next the leaves were brought the use of the scroller brush and some GF Burnished Pearl Effects. I didn’t absolutely try to make leaf shapes, just some gold blobs. I got here returned with some of the darker Bronze Pearl Effects to create some depth to the color.
Finally, I used the small stencil brush dipped inside the Burnished gold to melt the rims of the tree bases with a dabbing movement, which gave the ground region a bit shimmer. While the paint changed into still moist, I sprinked a piece of gold glitter.
There you move — an easy piece of art that might appearance wonderful amongst your different fall décor gadgets!
